What Happens To Our Body When We Don't Exercise

A Brief Study Of The Importance Of Exercise To The Immune System

Science has shown that there are many organism that cannot be seen without the aid of the microscope. One way or the other, these harmful organisms can find their way into our body through varying degrees of body contact and openings. For example, they can find their way into the body through the mouth  while eating with un washed or not properly washed hands. Our hands cannot stay clean for 24 hours everyday. And we sometimes touch our eye with the hands as well. These organisms are known as viruses.

The dictionary definition of virus :
"(pathology) A submicroscopic infectious organism, now understood to be a non-cellular structure consisting of a core of DNA or RNA surrounded by a protein coat. It requires a living cell to replicate, and often causes disease in the host organism".

The immune system helps to fight off this infectious organism and this is where exercising comes in.

 THE ROLE OF EXERCISE

Research has shown that exercise can boost the immune system and we live a sedentary lifestyle, the immune system performance is usually low. As a matter of fact, while doing an exercise, the immune system can boosted to 75% while also destroying the organism at the same time. This is usually the case when we exercise and the effect continues after we exercise. Virus can survive longer in cells when the body is not involved in exercise but cannot survive for long in cells when the body is physically active.
